With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries.  Job Summary: To foster an environment of learning and application.  Our commitment is to provide you with a real-life, meaningful experience where you will manage projects from start to finish.   Key Responsibilities: 1.    Exhibits exemplary professional conduct that demonstrates integrity, commitment, judgement and respect to all co-workers, customers and vendors. 2.    Oversees the manufacturing process for assigned work area and shift to ensure production is successful in all aspects and meeting targets.  3.    Promote a safe work environment that drives continuous improvement in all aspects of employee health and safety. 4.    Provide leadership and direction for hourly manufacturing employees as it relates to day to day operations and long term continuous improvement. 5.    Engage the workforce to achieve plant objectives including reducing risk, costs, and downtime. 6.    Coordinate all plant resources to address issues and improve metrics. 7.    Fairly and consistently enforce all company policies and procedures  8.    Ensure a knowledgeable and flexible workforce by facilitating effective training and cross training. 9.    Develop employees through clear expectations, and timely recognition for meeting expectations and timely coaching, training or discipline for not meeting expectations. 10.    Maintain good quality product by enforcing production standards. 11.    Communicate departmental performance to all employees as it relates to safety, quality, and cost. 12.    Lead pre-shift meetings to ensure consistent communication channels across the team.  13.    Partner with support groups to achieve desired outcome for your respective area. 14.    Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data and answering questions and responding to requests. 15.    Work alongside manufacturing clerks to ensure proper tracking of employee’s timekeeping and attendance.  16.    Review and respond to employee time off request.  Other Responsibilities:  1.    Perform additional responsibilities as needed.   QualificationsQualifications: 1.    4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 2.    Experience in a front line supervisory or team lead role in a manufacturing environment.   3.    General manufacturing experience required. 4.    Effective written and verbal communication skills.  5.    Demonstrated ability to lead others.  6.    Must be comfortable in group presentations. 7.    Good interpersonal skills when dealing with tough employee issues. 8.    Proficient in MS Suite, basic computer skills, typing and email etiquette skills required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:    1.    Supervisor must be able to monitor assigned departments. 2.    Supervisor must be able to locate materials throughout the plant.  3.    Supervisor must be able to perform safety audits. 4.    Supervisor must be able to lead safety meetings. 5.    Supervisor must be able to communicate with maintenance and quality departments. 6.    Supervisor must be able to perform paperwork and computer work.    Standing:  (Frequent) Supervisor must be able to stand to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as monitoring departments, locating materials, performing safety audits and communicating with maintenance/quality departments.  Walking:  (Frequent) Supervisor must be able to walk to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as monitoring departments, locating materials, performing safety audits and communicating with maintenance/quality departments.  Sitting:  (Frequent) Supervisor must be able to sit to perform various duties associated with essential job functions such as communicating with maintenance/quality departments and performing paper/computer work.  Lifting:  (Occasional) Supervisor must be able to lift up to 25 pounds from floor to waist level of 36 inches to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as moving materials.  Carrying:  (Occasional) Supervisor must be able to complete front or side carries of various boxes weighing up to 25 pounds for distances up to 15 feet. Forward Bending:  (Occasional) Supervisor must be able to attain/maintain a forward flexed position of up to 60 degrees to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as picking up/maneuvering loose material.  Trunk Rotation: (Occasional) Supervisor must be able to rotate their trunk/torso left-right in a standing position to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing office work and locating materials.   Reaching:  (Occasional) Supervisor must be able to forward reach to a shoulder level of up to 60 inches to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing office work and locating materials.  Manipulating/Handling/Gripping:  (Occasional) Supervisor must be able complete gripping, pinching and manipulation of various pieces of equipment to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as moving materials.
