Overview

Job Summary:

Specialized Dental Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our rapidly growing, acquisition‑driven organization. This role plays a key part in month‑end close, financial reporting, and supporting newly onboarded practices. You will serve as a resource for the accounting team and collaborate with other departments to ensure a clear understanding of the financial results. This role will be hybrid with a minimum of two days per week onsite in our Franklin, TN office.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepares journal entries, reconciles balance sheet accounts, reviews P&L results, and supports timely financial reporting
  • Assists the Manager with reviewing staff work and completing ad hoc requests, including analyses for the finance or operations teams
  • Analyzes business performance against prior-period actuals and budget
  • Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Supports process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting workflows and business operations

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance 
  • 2+ years of accounting experience

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with General Ledger (GL) /Accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use technology to collect and manipulate data, determine significant findings, and present information clearly
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
