Systems Engineer, Distribution and FulfillmentÂ
About the Role:  Â
As a Systems Engineer, you’ll apply material handling automated systems and layout expertise to enable our customers’ processing goals and desired processing solutions. You’ll develop concept solutions that are based on their historical business data analytics, future state material flow diagrams and result in material handling equipment layouts, turning concepts into functioning designs that meet our clients’ processing enhancements objectives. You'll be a valuable member of our Sales and Pre-Contract team, supporting our efforts to build lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients. You will actively participate in Customer meetings as a trusted advocate of the solution. We’ll appreciate your creative, solutions-oriented approach, your solid technical know-how in things like mechanical design, automation applications, and warehouse operations, your impressive teamwork skills, and the way we can count on you to get things done - and get them done well. Sound like you? In this role, you will:  Â
- Lead the development of automated material handling concept solutionsÂ
- Detail material handling concepts into functional layoutsÂ
- Apply equipment types that maximize the utility of the equipment and match the desired outputÂ
- Develop automation alternatives for the Tier 1 systems and provide Customer Pros and Cons to support our final recommendationÂ
- Determine throughput capabilities and right-size equipment applicationsÂ
- Support the development of equipment lists and equipment pricingÂ
- Compare layout designs to determine the best overall approachÂ
- Deliver findings to intercompany groups and the CustomerÂ
- Provide technical Sales assistance in support of converting the concept solution into an integration project. Â
- Work with intercompany groups to support proposal developmentÂ
- Work with intercompany groups to further develop proposals into executionÂ
We’re Excited About You Because:  Â
- You have 10+ years of Material Handling system design experienceÂ
- You have a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred)Â
- You have expertise in AutoDesk/AutoCAD drafting softwareÂ
- You’re experienced with material handling equipment OEMs software drawing packagesÂ
- You have extensive knowledge about a wide range of automated material handling equipmentÂ
- You know how to work within Microsoft SuiteÂ
- You work well under pressure and with urgencyÂ
- You have some experience working with system simulationÂ
- You have extensive experience leading system pricing estimationÂ
- You have experience at all phases of the project lifecycle from concepting through implementationÂ
- You possess good written and verbal communication skills.  You can demonstrate how to deliver and defend the solution to the Customer leading to a implementation opportunityÂ
- You have extensive experience supporting design/sales presentationsÂ
- You’re a creative problem solver with a capacity to imagineÂ
- You work hard, you work well with others, and you’ve got a positive attitudeÂ
