Job DetailsJob Location: Franklin, IN 46131QualificationsPurpose of Position/Summary:   The purpose of the Facility Maintenance HVAC Technician position is to maintain and improve the facility, auxiliary systems and material moving equipment.  This position will work closely with Maintenance Personnel, Engineering, Production and outside contractors.   Essential Duties/Responsibilities:   Major and minor repair of auxiliary equipment to include but not limited to: PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, 24vdc discrete I/O and mechanical repairs; Monitor, maintain, HVAC operations, RTU’s, air handlers, chillers, compressors, pumps, ETC Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair electrical and mechanical faults within HVAC equipment, but not limited to other facility equipment. Facility repairs and improvements to building structure and grounds; Complete any required preventative maintenance and scheduled workers; Utilize Building Management Software (BMS) to monitor facility temperatures and schedule equipment run times. Other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager on an as needed basis;   Job Requirements:   This position requires a certification in EPA Universal refrigerant or equivalent – Type 2 or 3 or certification must be obtained with-in the first 30 days of employment.  A minimum of 2 years commercial or industrial HVAC experience and/or enrolled in HVAC vocational program.  A high school diploma or GED from an accredited organization.   Good documentation skills required.  Must have some mechanical and/or electrical experience.  Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, MP2 and etc. is preferred.  Good communication skills and ability to work well with other departments is required.  Must be able to maintain a clean and neat work environment.   Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:   This position does not have any subordinate associates reporting to it.   Difficulty of Work:   The ability to adapt in constantly changing situations is a must.  Most tasks will be well defined and routine but can change daily.  Use of hand tools will be required to perform some of the tasks.  Good documentation of completed work will be required.  The ability to manage time effectively and multitask is also important.   Responsibility:   This position is to provide support as needed and complete many tasks with minimal supervision.  This position will require routine tasks and preventative maintenance to be completed daily, weekly, and monthly as needed.  Special repairs or tasks will be assigned by Maintenance Manager.  This position requires the ability to maintain all equipment through preventative maintenance and repair as needed.   Personal Work Relationships:   Working relationships include:  APM Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and Manufacturing Departments and outside contractors.  This position requires ability to meet internal customer expectations. Physical Effort:   Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.  Bending, kneeling, and squatting are required to perform tasks.  A lot of hand tool work, light repetitive lifting and some medium lifting up to 40 lbs is required with or without reasonable accommodations.    Working Conditions:   Good personal hygiene is a must.  This can be an extremely dirty job at times and protective clothing must be worn.  Required PPE must be worn without exception.  Most of the time spent in a normal manufacturing environment.
