SUMMARY:

The Security Administrator is responsible for protecting company systems, identities, devices, and information through cybersecurity operations, governance, vulnerability management, incident response, and security policy administration. This role serves as the primary owner of cybersecurity support operations and security-related risk management activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and maintain endpoint security platforms.
  • Monitor security alerts, threats, and suspicious activity.
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Manage identity security controls, including Multi-Factor Authentication and Conditional Access policies.
  • Assist with NIST documentatation.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
  • Conduct security reviews for vendors, software, cloud services, and AI technologies.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage compliance, audits, and security assessments.
  • Maintain incident response documentation and processes.
  • Monitor security logs and investigate anomalies.
  • Recommend security improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity awareness initiatives and training activities.
  • Maintain documentation relating to security controls and operational procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to assess risk and recommend practical security solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of IT or cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience with endpoint security solutions, identity management, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies preferred.
  • Experience supporting compliance, audits, or security governance initiatives preferred.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred.
