Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Helper / Garage Door Installer to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. This is a hands-on position that supports both daily warehouse operations and our garage door installation team in the field.
The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable with physical work, and willing to learn. Previous warehouse, construction, installation, maintenance, or general labor experience is helpful, but we are also willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, organizing, loading, and unloading garage doors, openers, parts, and other materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area.
- Prepare and load materials and equipment needed for scheduled installations.
- Assist installers with the installation, removal, and replacement of residential garage doors and related equipment.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other installation equipment.
- Help transport materials to and from job sites as needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and proper lifting and material-handling practices.
- Assist with inventory organization and general warehouse duties.
- Provide professional and courteous service while working at customer locations.
- Perform other warehouse, installation, and general support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be dependable and able to report to work on time.
- Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy materials.
- Comfortable working with tools and learning installation procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to safety and instructions.
- Previous experience in warehouse work, construction, installation, maintenance, or a similar hands-on position is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete company-required pre-employment screening.
Work Environment
This position involves a combination of warehouse and field work. Employees may work indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions while assisting at customer locations. The position requires regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and working with tools and equipment.
