Job Title: Language Program Coordinator (Open to Southern Paiute Tribal Members)

Status: Part-Time (20-hours/week); No Benefits
Job Summary:
The Language Program Coordinator must be a Southern Paiute Tribal Member with leadership abilities who has a vision for the Tribal language program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recruiting and scheduling language teachers and cultural consultants
- Create lesson plans and assist teachers with classes
- Provide youth/students with transportation to and from class each week
- Must speak, understand or be willing to learning while directing the Kaibab Paiute language program
- Understand tribe’s culture and willing to learn more
- Research, plan and carryout process to preserve Kaibab Paiute Language and make it available for tribal member’s use
- All duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be an enrolled member of a Southern Paiute Tribe
- Be self-motivated and work with little supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and ability to find new ways to improve the language program
- Have a reliable vehicle and preferably to live within the surrounding area.
- Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Just pass a pre-employment drug test and fingerprint background check (per P.L. 101-630 standards)
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and be insurable
- High school diploma/GED preferred, but not required
