Closes:                       April 20, 2026 for Kaibab Tribal Members; April 27, 2026, for all Southern Paiute Members

Status:                        Part-Time (20-hours/week); No Benefits


Job Summary:

The Language Program Coordinator must be a Southern Paiute Tribal Member with leadership abilities who has a vision for the Tribal language program. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting and scheduling language teachers and cultural consultants
  • Create lesson plans and assist teachers with classes
  • Provide youth/students with transportation to and from class each week
  • Must speak, understand or be willing to learning while directing the Kaibab Paiute language program
  • Understand tribe’s culture and willing to learn more
  • Research, plan and carryout process to preserve Kaibab Paiute Language and make it available for tribal member’s use
  • All duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be an enrolled member of a Southern Paiute Tribe
  • Be self-motivated and work with little supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and ability to find new ways to improve the language program
  • Have a reliable vehicle and preferably to live within the surrounding area.
  • Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Just pass a pre-employment drug test and fingerprint background check (per P.L. 101-630 standards)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and be insurable
  • High school diploma/GED preferred, but not required
