Description

The Vice President of Human Resources is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for developing and executing the company's people strategy to support organizational growth, operational excellence, and long-term business objectives. This role provides strategic leadership across all areas of HR, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, engages, and retains top talent while fostering a strong, high-performance culture. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership and experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or industrial operations. 


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Build scalable HR systems, policies, and best practices to support continued growth.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead recruiting strategies for manufacturing, operations, engineering, maintenance, and corporate talent.
  • Develop workforce planning initiatives and strengthen employer branding and community partnerships.
  • Enhance onboarding processes to improve employee integration and retention.

Employee Relations & Leadership Development

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations matters and ensure consistent policy application.
  • Lead employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Oversee compensation, incentive, and benefits programs to remain competitive and compliant.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Oversee HR policies, investigations, workers' compensation, and return-to-work programs.

HR Operations & Organizational Growth

  • Lead HRIS optimization, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop HR metrics and executive dashboards to support business decisions.
  • Drive change management efforts related to growth, acquisitions, and organizational transformation.
  • Manage the HR budget and develop a high-performing HR team.

Requirements

 Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or other multi-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation, talent management, organizational development, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated success building scalable HR processes and leading organizational growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and change management skills.
  • Ability to travel to company locations as needed.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or other high-growth initiatives.
