Position Summary
Â
The Blow Mold Operator II is an independent operator role with strong troubleshooting skills, multiple-machine operation abilities, and informal support of junior operators.
Â
Primary Responsibilities
- Operator II expands start-of-shift responsibilities to include reviewing and verifying carry-over quantities, scheduled production, and raw material availability.
- Operator II also verifies leak detectors and provides relief coverage for the Senior Operator when needed. Â
- Safely operates several blow molding machines and is responsible for continuous operation in accordance with scheduled work orders.
- Ensures bottle quality, color, weight, sleeving, and QA specifications are met.
- Performs ongoing QA checks and ensures QA documentation and leak detector checks.
- Responsible for reporting production delays, risks, or issues.
- Performs minor mechanical repairs, assists with more extensive maintenance, completes preventive maintenance, and makes machine/process adjustments. Â
- Maintains adequate supplies of dyes and resins to ensure uninterrupted machine operation.
- Trains, guides, and supports junior operators.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Immediately reporting unsafe conditions, injuries, near misses, spills, or equipment concerns.
- Using required PPE properly.
- Participating in safety training and meetings.
- Following lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hazard communication, emergency response, and other required safety practices.
- Stopping work or escalating concerns when an unsafe condition exists.
Quality Responsibilities
The employee is responsible for supporting product and process quality by:
- Following quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Reporting nonconforming materials, products, or processes.
- Completing required quality documentation accurately.
- Participating in corrective actions or continuous improvement activities.
- Understanding how the role impacts customer satisfaction, compliance, and company performance.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or technical training preferred.
- 3-5 year of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, maintenance, quality, or related environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety rules, production schedules, labels, specifications, or technical documents.
- Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work assigned shift, overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this position may include:
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50Â pounds.
- Repetitive hand, wrist, arm, or shoulder movements.
- Use of hands and fingers to handle tools, parts, controls, materials, or equipment.
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, face shields, respirators, or protective clothing.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or around moving machinery, if applicable.

Pay Range and Benefits (required for NJ)
Pay Range: $23-$27
Benefits: eligible for company benefits on first of month after 30 days of hire, 401k after 90 days.
