Vice President, Financial Planning &Ā AnalysisĀ Summary:Ā 

The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (VP, FP&A) is a broad finance role which plays a pivotal and strategic role within the organization by overseeing the critical global planning,Ā consolidationĀ and reporting function. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the VP FP&A will have three key areas of responsibility:Ā 

Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and financial sponsors, this leadership position holds immense responsibility for ensuringĀ accurateĀ and insightful design of the company’sĀ shortĀ and long termĀ financial algorithm and financial planning functions across the company's global operations. The VP, FP&A willĀ be instrumental in shaping the company's financial strategy andĀ facilitatingĀ transparent communication with stakeholders at the highest levels. This leader will be instrumental in crafting the external message and investor communications leading up to the company’s IPO or liquidity event in the coming years This role will alsoĀ be responsible forĀ managing M&A deal process and execution, including due diligence, structuring and deal stakeholder communications and management.Ā 

This is a key role at the heart of the company's financial operations, contributing significantly to its success,Ā growthĀ and future ownership structure.Ā

ResponsibilitiesĀ and other duties as assigned:Ā 

Financial Planning and Analysis:Ā 

  • Coordinate and lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning processes, including budgeting, monthly forecasting for business units and regions, and long-range planning (providing templates, targets, and managing overall process; ā€œhubā€ of hub and spoke).Ā 

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance,Ā identifyingĀ key drivers and trends, andĀ providingĀ actionable insights to senior management.Ā 

  • Responsible forĀ consolidatedĀ management reporting, including flash metrics andĀ consolidatedĀ results.Ā 

  • Provide Finance support for Global compensation and bonus initiatives.Ā 

  • Monitor and recommend key financial planning systems and enhancementsĀ 

 Investor Relations:Ā 

  • Act as a primary point of contact for current and prospective investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders, including rating agencies.Ā 

  • Develop andĀ maintainĀ strong relationships with investors, ensuring transparent and effective communicationĀ regardingĀ the company's financial performance and strategic initiatives.Ā 

 Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support:Ā 

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence support for potential M&A transactions.Ā 

  • Assess the financial viability of potential acquisitions, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment.Ā 

  • Partner closely with other deal team members to execute transaction (legal, banks,Ā financial sponsors, senior management)Ā 

  • Support post‑merger integration activities, including financial integration,Ā synergyĀ tracking, and operational handoff.Ā 

  • DevelopĀ integrationĀ roadmaps and support change management efforts toĀ maintainĀ continuity and minimize disruption.Ā 

Financial Reporting:Ā 

  • Responsible for the preparation of financial reports and presentations for all stakeholders, including the Board, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.Ā 

Team Leadership:Ā 

  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering their professional development and growth.Ā 

  • Ensure the teamĀ operatesĀ efficiently and collaboratively to meet departmental goals.Ā 

Strategic Planning:Ā 

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the company's financial strategy andĀ objectives.Ā 

  • Provide strategic financial recommendations based on industry trends and market analysis.Ā 

  • Participates in strategic workforce planning,Ā hiringĀ and contract reviews.Ā 

Risk Management:Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial health and stability.Ā 

  

Required Knowledge and Skills:Ā 

  • Ability toĀ interfaceĀ and ā€œmanage upā€ the Executive Leadership Team, BODĀ 

  • 10-15+ years of experience in Financial Modeling, FP&AĀ 

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and translation of strategicĀ objectives, financial and operational plans into external messaging. Uncompromising attention to detail.Ā 

  • The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the Company's business, as well as significant interaction with all senior business leaders.Ā 

  • Impeccable integrity and judgment skills, to be able to deal with sensitive financial information and make recommendations to the CEO and CFO.Ā 

  • Demonstrated success in building and elevating analyst coverage in a continued corporate growth environment.Ā 

  • An outstanding, highly articulate,Ā creativeĀ and persuasive communicator; a thought partner to the CEO and CFO, continuously striving to improve theĀ investorĀ story.Ā 

  • Able toĀ identifyĀ and prioritize global initiatives across a diverse business.Ā 

  • Experience leading, motivating,Ā developing,Ā andĀ retainingĀ team members.Ā 

  • Public company experience, supporting public disclosuresĀ 

  • Early career experience in Investment banking/M&A background a plus.Ā 

  • Animal Health Industry experience is strongly preferred.Ā 

   

Education:Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related fieldĀ 

  • AdvancedĀ degreeĀ such as MBA or related field is preferred.Ā

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role.Ā Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive.

The pay range for this position is as follows:

$196,800-$281,200
