Performs a wide variety of Human Resource consulting services for the organization.
Assisting in the recruitment, employment, and training areas. Acts in a generalist role assisting HR department customers with employee relations services. Selects candidates for interviews and makes recommendations for employment opportunities. Helps to promote Anchor Harvey as Best Place to Work employer within the communities that we service.
Essential Functions:
- Promote a safety-first culture which includes participating in the investigation of accidents and injuries and assisting with the preparation of material and evidence for the organization to use in hearings, litigation, and insurance investigations.
- Full cycle recruitment for all non-exempt positions within their facility. This would include attending local job fairs, interviewing candidates, extending offers, pre-employment paperwork process and onboarding of all new employees.
- Respond to and investigate employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints in a professional, confidential, and timely manner by using fact-finding meetings and interviews, in person or over the phone. Provides detailed documentation of incident(s) to the supervisor and communicate a proposed action plan for approval prior to implementation of resolution.
- Monitor employee attendance levels on a weekly basis and issue warnings as applicable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement in the People Metrics of site. This can be done by facilitating site focus groups, and monitoring turnover, reward and recognition and hours worked to ensure best practices are followed.
- Monitor and correspond to appropriate state agencies for unemployment compensation as appropriate.
- Set up and give exit interviews to employees leaving to find out the reason(s) the employee is leaving and to help us in assessing our programs.
- Attend employee pre-shift meetings on a regular basis.
- Ensure consistent application of Corporate Policies.
- Act as employee (all levels) advocate.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.
- Offering continuous improvement suggestions

Education and Training:
- Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree in business, Accounting or Human Resources
- Licenses/Certifications: PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP Certification (preferred)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- 2+years of HR generalist experience, with some experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with recruiting, employee relations, training, payroll, and benefits in a production setting.
- Must be fluent in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Ability to handle employee issues confidentially and interact with all levels of employees.
- Ability to multi-task.

Pay & Benefits
Rate: In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
