We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys meeting and helping others to fill the role of Customer Service Specialist. What is a Customer Service Specialist (CSS)? A CSS is the first point of contact for customers as they enter the bank, and a customer facing contact, you are the face of the bank. A Customer Service Specialist assists customers with banking transactions, answering incoming calls and providing quality customer service to internal and external customers. Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Being able to communicate with professionalism and empathy while supporting customers and teammates.
- Assisting customers with a variety of banking transactions and other banking needs in the lobby and through the drive thru.
- Protecting customers and the bank by following security measures, recognizing potential fraud activities and educating customers on safe banking practices.
- Maintaining and balancing a cash drawer, including locating and correcting offages, when needed.
- Completing training and learning how to improve in your role and prepare for future growth.
- Working with a talented and diverse team of coworkers across departments and locations.
- Owning the customer experience with a focus on positive outcomes.
- Performing operational activities such as helping customers and processing transactions.
- Maintaining your composure when assisting upset customers by using problem solving skills.
- Possessing common sense, people skills.
- Willing to pitch in and work for the good of the team.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willing to train the right candidate.
Work Environment for this role:
- Full-time, consistent hours and scheduling.
- Schedule flexibility available.
- Includes Saturday morning hours.
- Prolonged sitting or standing.
- Occasional traveling for training or to assist in other locations.
- Office environment with frequent use of telephone, computer, copier and other office equipment.
