We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our Rockford school community for the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

  • Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure successful student outcomes.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reviews.

  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth, independence, and confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field.

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement.

  • Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
