Job DetailsJob Location: Midland University - Fremont, NE 68025  QualificationsMidland University, a private, faith based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking a Softball Coach Graduate Assistant. This position will be offered within our graduate assistant structure, requiring admission to the University's Master of Education, Master of Science Learning and Talent Development, Master of Science and Sports Administration and Leadership or Master of Business Administration programs. In addition to the academic responsibilities, the candidate will be responsible for contributing to various aspects of the softball program, including assistant coaching, program administration, practice preparation, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.  Job responsibilities include: Representing Midland University Assisting the head coach with the administration and leadership of the softball program Providing coaching and instruction during training and practice activities Recruiting and retaining students for the softball program Overseeing team travel Directing strength and conditioning activities Practice planning and preparation Video analysis Running camps and clinics Helping to ensure team compliance with all NAIA and institutional rules and regulations Need to have: A bachelor's degree Previous softball coaching experience or playing experience on a collegiate level Good organizational skills Good interpersonal communication skills Fundamental computer skills Should demonstrate: A positive attitude An ability to resolve issues independently Compensation: Tuition Remission in the master's program. The level of remission is dependent on the degree pursued. Free Campus meal plan (15 meals per week), dependent on the degree pursued. A monthly stipend dependent on the degree pursued.
