Assembly Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Assembly Technician to join our team. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling parts and components in accordance with manufacturing documentation and ensuring that all completed assemblies meet customer quality requirements and company standards.
Schedule
Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble parts and components by following applicable manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
- Perform basic mechanical assembly operations, including the installation of Helicoils, Dowel Pins, and other related components.
- Inspect completed parts and assemblies to ensure they meet specified requirements, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and height gauges, to verify dimensions and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Properly maintain assembly equipment, tools, and workstations to ensure they remain in good working condition.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Control Department to ensure all assemblies meet customer and company quality requirements.
- Accurately complete and maintain Job Traveler documentation throughout the assembly process.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, defects, or other hazardous conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, manufacturing requirements, and company policies.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment and possess the following qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in machine shop assembly, with specific experience installing Helicoils and Dowel Pins.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret simple blueprints, drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Ability to accurately follow written assembly instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Proficiency in using calipers, height gauges, hand tools, box cutters, and other common assembly tools.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, particularly when working with small components in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform measurements and basic calculations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Hands-on manufacturing, machine shop, or mechanical assembly experience required.
- Previous experience with Helicoils, Dowel Pins, precision measurement tools, and mechanical assembly is strongly preferred.
