The Sr. Equipment Programming Tech will perform high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair, assist engineering, and plant staff with specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. This position requires a proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity, electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.Â

Education, Licensure and Experience Â
- Degree or certification in electronics technology or a closely related technical field, or a combination of education and experience.Â
- 5 years of automation and/or industrial maintenance experience.Â
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Knowledge of UL508A Industrial Control Panels.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and Kinetix platforms and systems.
- Knowledge of FactoryTalk View SCADA, and Transaction Manager/Historian data collection systems.
- Experience in SQL Reporting Services and Report Expert.
- Experience with project management; covering implementation, testing, start-up, and close-out procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions.
Qualifications
- Troubleshoot PLC operated processing systems and take appropriate corrective action.Â
- Maintain PLC systems and Ethernet/IP networks in accordance with Company Networking Policies.
- Interface with and program HMIs and PowerFlex Frequency Drives.
- Troubleshoot of 480 VAC, 3 phase motor control systems.
- Work with and support operators and craftsmen on the production floor.
- Review and suggest modifications to control systems and processes to improve operations.
- Implementation and modification of SCADA systems to improve system operations and visibility.
- Updating of electrical drawings to maintain current documentation.
- Comply with all applicable food laws, regulations, and food safety requirements.
- Comply with Company Policies, as well as promotes safety and safe work conditions.
- Work with electricians to ensure proper installation and configuration of control systems and drives.Â
- Ensure proper testing procedures and protocols for equipment are being followed to assist in timely identification of root cause problems.Â
