Job Summary

The SAP BTP ABAP Developer performs research, analysis, design, development, coding, debugging, testing, modifications, documentation, implementation and support for all SAP and SAP-integrated products. The SAP BTP ABAP Developer participates in all phases of development life cycle and documents all their changes to applications and integrations. 

 

The SAP BTP ABAP Developer performs technical assessments and is accountable for understanding and articulating the business strategy and direction associated with the SAP S/4 HANA platform and all its capabilities, applications, and solutions by working directly with the business stakeholders and delivery teams. 

 

The SAP BTP ABAP Developer assesses, initiates, refines and drives appropriate SAP Fiori, SAP S/4 HANA and middleware solutions. In addition, is also responsible for communicating to and educating business systems analysts on software changes or new product functionality. 

 

The SAP BTP ABAP Developer utilizes consulting and application skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into Mizuho OSI’s business environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the IT Business Systems Analysts to understand requirements. 
  • Provide support to and serve as a point of contact for internal customers who request routine information, data summaries and reports. 
  • Identify areas of improvement for services provided both internally and outward facing; including measuring and reviewing technology trends as directed by management.
  • Provides weekly written and verbal updates on the status of their progress on IT tickets and projects. 
  • Contribute to generating reports and presentation materials describing projects, and results. 
  • Partner with other departments to identify, analyze systems technical problems related to the collection, integration, and validation of data for routine requests for use. 
  • Develop, deploy and report on various user satisfaction metrics, on a quarterly or regular basis as needed and required; and under the direction of IT leadership. 
  • Assist with routing routine report requests and defining and establishing a standardized process for report requests.   
  • Work with different functional areas across the company to identify, research, and resolve complex data issues, in a timely manner, with minimal impact to the integrated system. 
  • Drive Continuous Improvement in Information Technology. 
  • Support the application users for designated business systems, including SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, and RAP.  
  • Participate in project meetings both internally and with other departments and report on the status of analytical tasks & project work. 
  • Design, develop, create and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), instructions for respective functions under the direction of the Manager.  Employ specified analytical tools to access data to provide reportable information on all identified Key Metrics for the delivery of optimized services to customers. 
  • Manage integrations with SAP S/4 HANA and other systems, via ETL and/or web services.  
  • Meet aggressive timelines with high quality results. 
  • Undertake extensive program and structural database development tasks. 
  • Implement specified Quality Assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of data generated. Participate in audits and promptly resolve any findings. 
  • Perform Unit Testing of application changes; manage change requests and bugs resulting from the UAT processes, ensuring completion and retesting. 
  • Conduct various audits and analyses; managing system improvements, process improvements, and quality programs. 
  • Review business requirements and detailed specs to develop test scripts and testing plans. 
  • Work on special projects as business needs arise and other duties as assigned. 
  • Adopt and Champion Company Policies and Procedures. 
  • Responsible for cleanliness, organization, and overall department appearance.

  • Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus: 15-20 years of experience managing application operations with at least 8+ years in SAP or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of SAP experience with end-to-end implementations and strong understanding of business processes within SAP S/4 HANA and Fiori.
  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of SAP development and technologies including CDS Views, OOABAP, ADOBE Forms, Smartforms, Enhancements Framework, LSMW, and Dialog Programming. 
  • Experience developing SAP extensions using SAP’s Extensibility Explorer on S/4 HANA cloud.
  • S/4 HANA BTP implementation experience with Fiori and Embedded Analytics.
  • Experience migrating from SAP user exits to SAP extensions.
  • Experience with SAP User Authorizations and Fiori Roles is a plus.
  • Experience developing forms utilizing SAP BRF+ is a plus
  • Experience with Middleware, EDI, IDOC and SAP Integration with SFDC is a plus. 
  • Experience with E-Commerce Engines and cloud CRM applications is a plus. 
  • Experience in defining systems strategy, gathering requirements, designing and prototyping, development, documenting, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. 
  • Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure technologies, including SAP private cloud, network, virtualization, ITSM tools and other IT infrastructure management tools. 
  • Excellent understanding of data and integration architectures, products and techniques, assessing business intelligence and analytics data gaps in a heterogeneous environment. 
  • Experience with change management and version control. 
  • Experience with test case and test scenario development. 
  • Experience with unit, system, and validation testing. 
  • Ability to work with a team, and independently, doing business analysis, project scoping, design, integration, documentation, implementation, training and customer support. 
  • Experience working in the Medical Device industry is preferred. 
  • Ability to clearly express oneself verbally, and in writing, in the English language (additional languages also preferred) using good grammar, vocabulary, eye contact, and friendly voice inflection with all employees. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. 
  • Excellent customer focus with a high sense of urgency. Ability to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Salary range: $158,000- $182,000  DOE + annual potential bonus + comprehensive benefits package
