Facilities Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities Technician is responsible for support of critical infrastructure and environmental systems within our semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. This role is essential to maintaining uptime, safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting semiconductor or advanced manufacturing operations, including chemical management, wastewater systems (AWN) , hazardous materials handling, and facility equipment such as HVAC, chillers, and compressors. This individual must be highly responsive, self-directed, and capable of supporting production lines in real time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assembly and Fab Facility & Utility Support
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production support equipment.
• Support fab operations by ensuring uninterrupted availability of facility utilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including chillers, compressors, pumps, coils, RO system, LN2 tank vessel, and related systems.
• Diagnose HVAC and AC system failures; perform appropriate corrective actions or coordinate vendor repairs.
• Perform plumbing repairs including leak detection (including roof systems), fixture repairs, drain clearing, carpentry, and general painting tasks.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting beyond basic fixture replacement.
• Access rooftops and mechanical areas to inspect equipment and diagnose issues.
Chemical & Environmental Systems (Fab Support) -
• Manage chemical inventory, storage, and replenishment for wafer fabrication processes.
• Respond immediately to chemical deliveries and production-related chemical needs.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of chemicals, gases, and hazardous materials.
• Coordinate hazardous waste collection, documentation, storage, and disposal in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and maintain the wastewater treatment system (AWN experience preferred) in compliance with local regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of environmental, regulatory, and manufacturing-related data.
Chemical Hazard Training will be provided
Safety & Compliance
• Conduct routine safety inspections of fab, office, and production line equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and national/local building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
• Maintain high-quality documentation standards for regulatory audits and inspections.
• Support sustainability and compliance initiatives within the facility.
Work Order & Vendor Management
• Monitor and expedite maintenance work orders to minimize production downtime.
• Issue purchase requisitions for maintenance supplies and services.
• Coordinate and evaluate outside vendors for building repairs and specialty services.
• Support facility improvement and special projects as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance within a semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with hazardous materials, chemicals, gases, and/or wastewater treatment systems.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor fab utility systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with chillers, compressors, pumps, and related facility equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and system drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and maintenance tracking systems preferred
• OSHA or related safety certifications required Chemical Hazard Training will be provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in mechanical rooms and on rooftops.
