  • Manage and forecast operating expenses (OPEX), including reviewing actual spending against budget and forecast and explaining key variances.
  • Support R&D project financial reviews by tracking project spending, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Partner with HR and commercial teams on headcount and resource planning, including forecasting the financial impact of hiring and staffing decisions.
  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning by developing financial business cases, reviewing completed investments against expectations, and monitoring fixed assets.
  • Support and coordinate monthly financial close activities, including variance analysis, accruals, reclassifications, account reconciliations, and management reporting to help ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet results.
  • Prepare and analyze annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial plans, with a primary focus on operating expenses.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to business unit leadership, functional leaders, Division Finance, and Accounting.
  • Analyze business unit profitability, spending trends, and working capital and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare clear financial reports and presentations that summarize results, key drivers, risks, and opportunities for finance and business leadership.
  • Reconcile financial information across systems and help maintain accurate, consistent financial data.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate financial reporting and analytical processes.
  • Support strong financial controls and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, corporate policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives to improve finance processes and controls.
  • Support additional finance projects and business needs as required.
