Job DetailsJob Location: Midland University - Fremont, NE 68025  QualificationsMidland University, a private, faith-based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking a Dance Coach Graduate Assistant. This position will be offered within our graduate assistant structure, requiring admission to the University's Master of Education, Master of Science Learning and Talent Development, Master of Science and Sports Administration and Leadership, or Master of Business Administration programs. In addition to the academic responsibilities, the candidate will have frequent contact with prospective students and their families, high school teachers and administrators, members of Omaha, Lincoln, and Fremont's Arts Community, Midland University students, as well as the University faculty and staff, specifically the Director of Dance. Job responsibilities include: Develop relationships with area high school dance coaches and studio teachers. Assist with and, on occasion, lead recruiting efforts for the Dance team. This includes communicating with prospective students, updating recruitment-tracking information, attending campus visits, logging awarding information, and assisting with various recruitment duties as requested by the head coach, all with confidentiality, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Assist with and occasionally lead practices for game-day events, and assist with oversight of game-day performances. Assist with the planning and execution of on and off-campus events that host prospective students. Assist with planning and executing team fundraising events. Strive to build/maintain an environment of integrity, trust, and transparency. Other duties as assigned. Need to have: A bachelor's degree and relevant experience in the performing arts Demonstrated experience as a dance teacher and choreographer Competitive dance experience is preferred Knowledge of the NAIA Competitive Dance Rulebook and Coaches Manual is preferred  Should demonstrate: A positive attitude An ability to resolve issues independently Time management skills and the ability to schedule Dance Program events, rehearsals, and performances Compensation: Tuition Remission in the master's program. The level of remission is dependent on the degree pursued. Free Campus meal plan (15 meals per week), dependent on the degree pursued. A monthly stipend dependent on the degree pursued.
