Children’s Cook (Full-Time)
  $13–$17/hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a full-time Children’s Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in our childcare center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking in a structured environment, values consistency, and takes pride in preparing healthy meals for children.
This position follows a consistent daytime schedule (weekday only).
About the Role
Our Children’s Cook plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our center by ensuring meals are prepared safely, on time, and in accordance with CACFP guidelines. You will work independently in the kitchen while collaborating with leadership to keep food service running smoothly.
️ Core Responsibilities
As the Children’s Cook, you will:
Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children daily
Follow CACFP standards and guidelines
Prepare food in large quantities while maintaining quality and portion control
Verify correct portion sizes for age groups
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of food and supplies
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
Assist with basic food purchasing and inventory
Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
Qualifications
Required:
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow food safety guidelines and instructions
Preferred (not required):
Previous cooking or food service experience
Experience cooking for groups, schools, or childcare centers
Familiarity with CACFP guidelines (training available)

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
