Position Overview

The Engineering Department consists of Shop Drawing Engineers and Layout Engineers, with a long-term goal of cross-training all engineers to develop a well-rounded skill set. This role focuses primarily on layout engineering, supporting production by translating drawings into precise, build-ready work orders.

Responsibility:
Layout: Creating layout/ cut list tags for the shop to produce, machine & build
from.
• Taking items from shop drawings to 100% buildable work orders
• Creating a cut-list through Microvellum or similar software
• CNC programs through Alphacam or similar software
• Coordinate with the shop during production as needed

Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Microvellum and/or AutoCAD
• Solid understanding of cabinet and millwork construction
• Experience creating cut-list and layouts for the shop production
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Experience with Alphacam is a plus
