Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Accounting Manager to oversee the monthly financial close, maintain accurate financial reporting, and support cash flow visibility. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can operate independently and partner with leadership.
Schedule
Part-time: 10–25 hours per week
Flexible schedule; heavier workload during month-end close
Responsibilities
Manage the monthly close process and prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and reconciliations
Review work of bookkeeper / AP / AR (if applicable)
Maintain and improve accounting processes and controls
Support cashflow tracking and basic forecasting
Coordinate with the external CPA for tax filings and year-end close
Assist with audit preparation (if needed)
Maintain compliance with GAAP standards
Qualifications
5–8+ years of accounting experience
Strong experience with month-end close and financial statements
Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)
Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
Solid understanding of GAAP
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Preferred
CPA or CPA-track
Experience in small to mid-sized companies
Experience cleaning up or optimizing NetSuite processes
