2026 Summer Intern

 

Location:

This role is scheduled to be 100%25 remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.

 

Department Details:

Evaluates standard data to understand premium, claims, exposure, and population. Learn to use and document models, tools, and assumptions that support business strategy analysis and risk management. Assist in developing rates and account plans to mitigate risk, along with reviewing information to support renewal negotiation. 

 

Internship Projects:

Support analysis and reporting of data. Completes case and underwriting work as assigned. 

 

Target Majors:

Finance & Accounting; Math/Statistics; Healthcare Administration; Data Science

 

Target Skillset:

Interpersonal skills, data analysis, organizational skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Performing additional duties as required.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
