SUMMARY: The Senior Lean Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing business processes using value stream mapping and other tools, and facilitating and implementing business processes improvements to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves working closely with various manufacturing support departments to identify areas for process improvement, developing strategies to optimize processes, and ensuring the successful implementation of new processes. The ideal candidate will have a background and experience in value stream creation for business processes, demonstrated analytical skills, and the ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop value stream maps in the following areas: planning process, procurement, quality engineering processes, approval processes, material movement processes, business operations, IT processes, and other administrative processes that support manufacturing
  • Facilitate team analysis of existing business processes to identify waste and incidental activities in processes and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate the design and development of new or improved business processes that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Planning, Sales, and Manufacturing Operations, to understand business value streams, cycle times and owners.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather process information, engender collaboration, create agreed upon action plans and follow-up on those plans.
  • Actively and systematically follow-up on issues, seek for solutions and drive agreed upon actions to completion.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree related to industrial engineering or business process management
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Problem solving experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Products

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of electronics assembly experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business process management, process improvement, or related roles.
  • Certification in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Auto Cad and Simulation programs are desirable

Salary: $100K-$129K+ DOE
