JOB TITLE: Branch Distribution Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Distribution – MDC Operation
JOB SUMMARY:
The Branch Distribution Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day distribution operations for the MDC Operation’s Distribution area, including but not limited to inventory management, sales order fulfillment, activities in support of the Crown Battery’s branch and subsidiary distribution operations, well as supervision of Distribution employees and ensuring safe work practices.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the facility and the security of the facility within Crown Battery regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for understanding and implementing all applicable Crown Battery Quality System and ERP requirements for inventory management, customer complaint investigations involving products, managing corrective action responses, transfers of inventory to branch distribution centers, sales order preparation, compliance with customer-specific packaging plan requirements.
- Train, hire, supervise, discipline, schedule, train and evaluate the safe work performance of assigned employees within the guidelines of the employee handbook.
- Maintain all aspects of Crown Battery products including storing, charging, labeling, inventory, receivables, returns and warranties.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Coordinate sales order fulfillment scheduling with the Customer Service Group.
- Assist the Branch Operations Manager in training and other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain all applicable paperwork including invoices, receivables, order entry and postal mailings.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Participate and assist with accident avoidance, investigation, reporting and corrective actions as necessary.
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Branch Distribution Supervisor is accountable to the Branch Operations Manager.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment with quick changes expected
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality system requirements
- Ability to assist Distribution employees with product packaging, handling, loading as required
- Leadership skills to train, motivate and direct people
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office
- Strong organizational skills
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- College or Technical College degree or commensurate experience
- Operations supervisory experience or equivalent experience
DESIRABLE TRAITS:
- Desire for continued employee development including managerial and/or leadership training as well as updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading related publications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
