Specific Job Duties: 

  • Lead, support, and train a manufacturing shift of approximately 20 to build subassemblies and final assemblies in a fast-paced production environment
  • Supervise teams operating in any or some of these areas -  welding, machining, precision assembly, ISO/100 cleanroom operation, 
  • Drive daily production execution to meet quality, safety, delivery and productivity targets among work groups
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering, production planning, quality, and supply chain to prioritize work and resolve production constraints
  • Ensure effective shift handoffs and communication across departments and work centers
  • Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions and specifications to support manufacturing requirements
  • Anticipates, follows-up, and resolves problems with material shortages, equipment downtime, tooling issues, labor shortages, and production bottlenecks 
  • Manages staffing, training, performance management and employee development initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, cleanroom, SOP requirements
  • Manage staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and improve staff
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of SST welding (TIG, Orbital) machining, precision assembly, inventory management, and cleanroom manufacturing
  • Experienced in Lean Manufacturing, 8D, 5 Whys, Kaizen, or Lean Six Sigma problem solving methodologies
  • Ability to manage, lead, motivate, train, and assess performance of a team 
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to pivot when business requires
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work cross-functionally to implement improvements
  • Experience in coaching employees and partnering with Human Resources on performance and employee relations issues
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality management systems, blueprints, work instructions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables where only limited solutions exist. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs including word, excel, teams, outlook, ADP timekeeping systems, and Oracle Cloud programs or similar

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with some exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and shoes
  • ISO9001 standards
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop and bend, climb stair ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling tools, inspecting parts, operating machinery
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity and ability to distinguish colors
  • Ability to read blueprints, gauges and measurement tools (with or without correction)
  • Hearing ability to sufficiently monitor equipment and communicate in a noisy environment

 

Experience, Education, Certifications

  • 5+ years leading manufacturing teams in the Semi-Conductor industry  (or similar industry)  or related work experience in manufacturing operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing work experience

 

For candidates based in California:  the pay range for this position is $85,000 - 144,500 per year. 

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location during the hiring process.
