This position is a hybrid role (4x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California.

Key Responsibilities:​​

  • Develop and execute test plans for robotic systems during the NPI phase to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.​

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to identify and resolve integration and test issues.​

  • Design and implement scalable test fixtures, procedures, and automation for mechanical, electrical, and control system validation.​

  • Analyze test data, identify trends and root causes, and provide detailed reports with corrective actions.​

  • Drive DFT (Design for Test) and DFx initiatives to improve product manufacturability and testability.​

  • Lead the transition of test processes from R&D to high-volume production environments.​

  • Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to implement and verify test procedures.​

  • Support failure analysis and continuous improvement of robotic products and processes.​

  • Perform system-level debugging, validation, and optimization.​​

Minimum Qualifications​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.​

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in robotics testing, system integration, or NPI engineering.​

  • Strong understanding of robotic physics, motion control, and sensor integration.​

  • Proven experience with Edge AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, OpenVINO, NVIDIA Jetson, or Edge Impulse).​

  • Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting tools and methodologies.​

  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and test specifications.​

  • Familiarity with data acquisition and test automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB).​

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.​

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.​

  • Experience with NI TestStand or other automated test frameworks.​

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, preferably in robotics or mechatronic systems.​

  • Knowledge of PLCs, embedded systems, or industrial communication protocols.​

  • Experience working with CM/ODM partners and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.​

  • Understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, ISO, CE, UL).​

  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.​

  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD, and Agile development practices​​

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $190,000 to $220,000.
