Assembler/Operator I
Job Description

In this role, the Cable and Wire Assembly/Operator position will be required to follow a detailed process route sheet to assemble the components to meet the customer’s specifications. Ability to troubleshoot and repair assemblies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in assembling of wiring harnesses, cable and mechanical
  • assemblies
  • Knowledge of prints, schematics, mechanical drawings, visual aids, wire identification, color codes and associated component identification required
  • Experience with using all types of hand tools: connectors, ferrule crimps, open and closed barrel hand tools
  • Soldering Certificate in accordance with IPC Standards IPC-A-610
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 training and certification strongly preferred but not required

EDUCATION

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)

Requirements

  • Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team or individually to achieve departmental goals.
  • Strong knowledge in quality inspection, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Knowledge, ability, and willingness to safely work with exposed high voltage.
  • Strong knowledge in electrical theory and operations.
  • Blueprint and schematic reading and interpretation.
  • Knowledge and use of various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow established assembly procedures.
