JOB TITLE: IND COS Wrapper                                                                                                          DEPTARMENT: Manufacturing

 

JOB SUMMARY: The IND COS Wrapper is responsible for operating wrapping machine that is used to wrap positive plates with all appropriate materials and ensuring parts that are produced meet specifications and quality standards. 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for: 
    1. Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions. 
    2. Ability to identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
    3. Must support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions. 
    4. Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required. 
  1. Responsible for day-to-day house keeping of the surrounding production floor area. 
  1. Unloading positive or negative plates from a curing rack and checking the quality of each plate, then loading them into the machine.
  2. Observes as:
    1. The positive Plates are wrapped in slyver.
    2. A bottom boot is installed then binder.
    3. Koroseal and separator wrap that seals the plate.
    4. At the end of the line the two plates get stated into a element
    5. Element is inspector for issues before passing to the Robot operator
  1. Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Must be 18 years of age 
  • Experience with safety and environmental training 
  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
