PRIMARY FUNCTION:Â
The Recycled Materials Processor is responsible for performing all material operator responsibilities required within the Materials Department and meets the production standards and efficiencies for each function. Must maintain a satisfactory forklift certification.Â
REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Technical Supervisor or SMT
DIRECT SUPERVISION: None
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible for material input into all grinders and offline equipment, and blender. Responsible for material supply for extrusion.Â
- Must gain knowledge of and understand the general operation of all equipment, which includes start up, shutdown, run parameters and minor troubleshooting as per departmental procedures and work instructions.Â
- Must operate all equipment and be able to break down bales of material using physical force as described in the attached job analysis for the materials department.Â
- Must be able to meet departmental production goals and standards as well as cost efficiency.Â
- Understands and completes all production paperwork and inventory control systems.Â
- Uses and understands the production schedule and material input plan for the vinyl extruders.Â
- Must inspect and ensure all input and finish goods materials meet all quality control parameters set by the department, i.e. identify and segregate PVC from non-PVC materials.Â
- Maintains and follows warehouse organization plan.
- Must adhere to all safety rules pertaining to driving a tow motor or forklift.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures pertaining to PPE, equipment and housekeeping. Performs activities in accordance with the procedures outlined in the work instructions.Â

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Â
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Â
- Must maintain Power Industrial Truck certification as required.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or manufacturing systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and temperature variations.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
- Must wear appropriate PPE and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements
