Pay: $32.00 - $42.00/hour

 

Payroll Specialist Opportunity:

  • Full-Time | Permanent Position | Monday–Friday | Onsite
  • Manage the full payroll cycle for an organization of approximately 100–130 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review and audit employee timecards, process payroll, run payroll reports, and communicate with employees and leadership regarding payroll-related questions.
  • Maintain and support HRIS/payroll systems, including system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting (experience with systems such as SmartLinx, ADP, Workday, or similar HRIS platforms preferred).
  • Process payroll for a workforce with multiple union contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor agreements.
  • Report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer while collaborating with the HR team to support payroll operations and continuous process improvement.

 

Payroll Specialist Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience required.
  • Experience processing payroll in a union environment preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring HRIS/payroll systems (SmartLinx, ADP, Workday, or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Willingness to obtain the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification within one year of employment.
