Overview

Cement Masons in Local 600 are highly skilled tradespeople responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces for a variety of construction projects. Members uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, and union solidarity while working on residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place, level, and finish concrete for floors, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and other structures.
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment to smooth, shape, and texture concrete surfaces.
  • Apply curing compounds and protective coatings to ensure durability and quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Repair and patch existing concrete structures as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and union standards.

Qualifications
