Responsibilities

Community Health System is the region’s largest healthcare provider, and Community Regional Medical Center serves as the flagship hospital delivering advanced, mission driven care to Central California. The Nuclear Medicine Tech I  practices at a fully independent level, supporting a high‑acuity imaging environment through technical expertise, sound judgment and collaboration with Nuclear Medicine Physicians. This role is embedded within a multidisciplinary team committed to diagnostic accuracy, patient safety and continuous quality improvement. 

 

You will independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing, compounding, administering and quality‑testing radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards. You will ensure high‑quality imaging through accurate patient identification, appropriate exam selection, proper positioning and protocol completion, while maintaining a safe and compliant environment through adherence to aseptic technique, medication‑administration standards, radiation safety practices, equipment maintenance requirements and precise documentation. 

Qualifications

Education & ExperienceMINIMUM REQUIRED: Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's degree in related field.*Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. While experience is preferred, we welcome and encourage applications from new graduates and provide training for candidates without prior experience.*

 

Licenses and CertificationsMINIMUM REQUIRED: Current BLS certification.California State Department of Health Services’ certificate as "Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine" all scopes including venipuncture.
