Commonwealth Medical Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team in Central California. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to a diverse patient population, ensuring their visual needs are met with precision and empathy. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for performing thorough eye examinations, diagnosing ocular diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses or treatments. Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and assess visual acuity.
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and educate patients on proper eye care techniques.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and technology for effective evaluation and treatment.
  • Provide referrals to specialists when necessary and participate in patient care coordination.
  • Stay current with advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in the medical records.
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Active license to practice optometry in California.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and treating ocular conditions.
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and continuing education activities.
