The Retail Sales Manager plays a key role in the dealership. They are responsible for driving business success by managing the accounting, operations, compliance, and shrink and profitability through the highest standards of integrity and ethics.Â
What You’ll Do:Â
Drive the business to success by delivering metrics and achieving success on the leaderboardÂ
Connect with customers and drive sales by asking open-ended questions to assess customer needs and make relevant suggestions for the customer's outdoor lifestyleÂ
Demonstrate safe practices and procedures in store by adhering to company standardsÂ
Determine specialized product needs and services by working directly with customersÂ
Suggest add-on sales to increase average transactionsÂ
Provide price estimates for designated installations prior to scheduling appointmentsÂ
Keep customers apprised of work progressÂ
Recruit and hire qualified associates adhering to established pay guidelinesÂ
Evaluate, coach, counsel and train associates for successÂ
Recognize seasonality of the business and develop a strategy for merchandising the store for seasonal trends by adhering to company standards and planogramsÂ
Participate in the creation of schedules which are geared to meet customers' needsÂ
Involvement in the community to promote the brand and stay informed concerning competitorsÂ
What You’ll Need to Have for the Role:Â
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and/or 3-5+ years retail management experience, preferably big-box format or equivalent combination and experienceÂ
Must be a minimum of 21 years of ageÂ
Outstanding oral and written communication skillsÂ
Leadership and interpersonal skills required to interact with all levels of the companyÂ
Excellent planning and organizing skillsÂ
Able to coach direct reportÂ
Occasional overnight travel may be requiredÂ
Proficient computer skills to be able to maneuver in a windows-based environmentÂ
Must possess the core discipline of foundational excellence to maintainhigh standards of facility, sales floor, and back of house standards on a daily basisÂ
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the businessÂ
Demonstrate ethical and honest behavior in day-to-day interactions and business decisionsÂ
Must be flexible and able to react to the needs of the businessÂ
May holdup to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices Â
Periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bendingÂ
General Compensation Disclosure
The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Â It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the total annual compensation range (base pay + variable compensation earned) is $65,000 - $90,000 or more. Â This is a variable pay role with uncapped variable pay.
