Oakwood Gardens Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time NOC shift position. This role is responsible for supervising day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring high-quality resident care, and supporting our nursing team in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities on the AM shift
Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and ADON in implementing and maintaining nursing policies and procedures
Participate in quality assurance, audits, and facility surveys as requested
Complete documentation, medical forms, incident/accident reports, and evaluations in a timely and accurate manner
Help coordinate nursing services with other departments to support resident-centered care
Clinical Care
Provide direct nursing care as needed
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with facility procedures
Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident condition and staff performance
Review nurses’ notes, care plans, and treatments to ensure they reflect accurate, resident-focused care
Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and leadership
Staff Support & Supervision
Ensure adequate RN/LVN/CNA staffing levels on your shift
Develop and assist with assignments for nursing staff
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and participation in in-service training
Help create and maintain a calm, positive, and professional environment for residents and staff
Safety, Infection Control & Compliance
Promote and enforce infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
Ensure appropriate use of PPE and safe handling of equipment and supplies
Participate in fire safety, disaster drills, and emergency response as needed
Protect resident privacy and comply with all HIPAA and facility confidentiality policies
Qualifications
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Current CPR certification
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred
2+ years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as SNF regulations and guidelines
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
