Job DetailsJob Location: Fresno - Fresno, CA 93725Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $32.00 Hourly Job Title: Truck Driver / Equipment Hauler Job Function & Purpose: Move & Pick Up Equipment. Coordinate with your store Dispatcher to transport equipment between stores, and to and from customer locations. Qualifications Class A License Experience loading and unloading heavy equipment Ability to operate various Ag machinery Forklift Certified and Experienced Excellent Communication Skills ▪ communication with customers in coordinating delivery schedules ▪ communicating basic equipment functions Knowledge of Traffic Laws and Permit Requirements Organization and Timeliness with Paperwork Basic Mechanical Knowledge Needed to Perform Inspections on Truck & Trailer   ​​​​​​​Working Conditions Heat and Sun Exposure, especially in summer months Long Hours of sitting May be required to work overtime to complete hauls Physically demanding to chain & load / unload equipment Reporting Relationships: You report directly to your store’s Dispatcher, Service Manager, and General Manager. He or she will be responsible for coordinating your hauls. Personnel issues or employee issues will be reported to the Service Manager and/or the Director Human Resources. Responsibility: As a Garton Tractor Equipment Hauler, you are responsible for: Knowing and abiding by traffic and permit laws Making sure your truck and trailer are up-to-date and inspected on a daily basis Knowing and abiding by California Labor Laws, including when and how to take state/federal required breaks Getting hauls done in a timely manner without unacceptable downtime Safely loading, tying down and unloading equipment   Principal & Essential Duties: The principle & essential duties of the equipment hauler consist of, but are not limited to the following: Hauling Equipment to and from different store locations and customer locations Inspecting truck and trailer daily to ensure safety precautions are met Filling out paperwork (time sheets, truck logs, daily inspection sheet and delivery slips) in a timely and accurate manner   Standards and Measurement of Performance: You will meet or exceed your expectations when the following occur: Getting Equipment to and from locations in a timely manner No traffic violations or permit / weight violations No conflict with other employees or customers Positive and professional impression left with customers when delivering equipment No on-the-job injuries due to lack of safety adherence or precautions Accurate paperwork and time sheets turned in daily Qualifications
