We are looking for a hard-working Janitorial Technician to join our field team. In this role, your

main tasks involve cleaning floors, washing walls, disposing of garbage, performing routine

maintenance, and inspecting the premises. You should have some janitorial experience or be

familiar with the safe use of sanitation products and equipment. Our ideal candidate is a team

player who takes pride in doing a good and thorough job for each client.


About:

Scrubcan Inc. is a locally owned and operated business founded in 2014 by Corey Jackson with offices in Fresno, CA. Scrubcan Inc. set out to tackle the growing health and environmental hazards posed by dirty residential trash containers and designed a state-of-the-art cleaning system using recycled water to clean and sanitize the containers while reclaiming the dirty water.


After a successful launch of Scrubcan’s residential product offering, the company focused on commercial cleaning opportunities. Our focus has shifted to building and scaling a vertically integrated commercial cleaning company to address the varied needs of our clients. In addition to its residential services, Scrubcan Inc provides janitorial, fleet, solar panel, commercial pressure washing, and disinfecting services every day throughout the Central Valley.

Potential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will vary depending on the position, customer location, and service being performed. Future opportunities may include responsibilities such as:

  • Perform assigned commercial and/or residential cleaning and maintenance services according to Scrubcan standards and customer requirements.
  • Complete assigned work within established schedules and service timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Follow daily job schedules, routes, customer checklists, and service instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment, tools, and materials appropriate to the assigned service.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, equipment, and company vehicles when applicable.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, customer issues, or other conditions requiring attention.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize company-provided technology and tools to receive assignments, track progress, complete checklists, document services, and accurately record time worked.
  • Maintain timely communication with team members and management throughout the workday.
  • Travel to and between customer locations as required by the assigned position.
  • Participate in training and demonstrate a willingness to learn new services, equipment, processes, and responsibilities.
  • Provide flexible support across customer locations, routes, or service areas as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the assigned position.


General Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous janitorial, hospitality, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Reliable, dependable, trustworthy, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background check, fingerprint-based background check, physical examination, drug testing, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel to and from customer locations as required
  • Physically able to perform job duties, including prolonged standing and walking; climbing, bending, kneeling; pushing and pulling equipment; lifting and carrying objects (including a 20 lb vacuum); repetitive bending, lifting, and arm movements
  • Willingness to wear company-issued uniforms during all working hours
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and communicate effectively with team members, customers, and office staff
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment, including responding positively to operational changes and customer needs
  • Resourceful, results-driven, and solutions-oriented approach to work
  • Collaborative and coachable mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to quality and customer-specific requirements

Compensation varies by position and will be communicated when a specific employment opportunity becomes available. Individual pay is determined by permissible non-discriminatory factors such as job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work availability, position requirements, and internal equity considerations.
