Staking Technician, Junior


Join our Engineering team and help support the design and construction of the electric system that powers our communities. As a Junior Staking Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience in surveying, staking, GIS mapping, easement acquisition, and utility project coordination while working alongside experienced professionals.


What You'll Do

  • Assist with surveying and staking electric line projects and service installations. 
  • Prepare staking sheets, cost estimates, and project documentation. 
  • Support GIS mapping, easement acquisition, and permit preparation. 
  • Conduct field inspections and assist with storm restoration efforts. 


What You Bring

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience; coursework in surveying or mathematics is a plus. 
  • Surveying, staking, GIS, or AutoCAD experience preferred. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
