A DAY IN THE LIFE OF a R&D Medical Writer

As a Medical Writer, you will play a key role in developing and writing scientific literature that demonstrates the value of Castle Bioscience's products. In this position, on any given day, you will spend time writing, submitting, and revising manuscripts, as well as preparing conference materials focused on clinical validation, clinical utility, and scientific reviews. You will collaborate closely with other R&D team members, cross-functional teams within Castle, and external partners to ensure the accuracy and quality of all written materials. This role also involves reviewing, summarizing, and communicating scientific literature as well helping create marketing and commercial materials to support Castle's customer-facing teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master degree in life sciences or related scientific field.
  • Demonstrable experience independently writing scientific manuscripts and abstracts as well as creating posters and short oral presentations is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral communication skills

SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Friday, in-office exempt position, working from the Friendswood TX headquarters (preferred). Will consider Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place office.
