Escrow Officer

Location: Frisco, TX

Type: Full-Time

POSITION

The Escrow Officer serves as a liaison between all parties involved in the title and settlement process, including homebuyers, sellers, builders, lenders, real estate agents, and vendors. This role requires a strong understanding of closing procedures, exceptional accuracy, and outstanding customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and understand title documents, loan documents, purchase agreements, and addenda.

• Schedule and oversee closing transactions and maintain proactive communication with all parties.

• Research and resolve title issues such as liens, judgments, heirship, or divorce-related matters.

• Verify and assign closing fees; ensure accurate collection and documentation.

• Balance Closing Disclosures and troubleshoot discrepancies with lenders.

• Conduct closing appointments, explain documents, answer questions, and notarize signatures.

• Coordinate funding and proper disbursement of escrow funds.

• Review escrow accounting reports and correct any discrepancies.

• Prepare and ensure the recording of documents with the appropriate county.

• Maintain active Escrow Officer license through continuing education.

• Provide leadership and support to escrow assistants, fostering teamwork and efficiency.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of title insurance and/or escrow experience.

• Active Texas Escrow Officer License required.

• Notary Public certification required.

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn internal systems.

• High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working within a high-volume title office.

• Leadership experience or mentoring escrow assistants.

• Familiarity with closing/title software systems.
