About the role

As a PLM Implementation Engineer II, you'll lead and execute PTC Windchill implementations with minimal supervision — owning the full arc of a project from requirements gathering through deployment and documentation. You'll work directly with customer stakeholders, contribute to our digital thread strategy, and mentor colleagues as a go-to technical resource on the team.

This is a role for someone who's past the learning curve and ready to drive outcomes independently.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate directly with customers to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications

  • Configure and deploy PTC Windchill applications to meet customer requirements

  • Execute data migration projects from legacy systems into PTC Windchill

  • Engage in FlexPLM, ThingWorx Navigate, and CAD implementation and integration

  • Support Windchill and CAD customization deployments per customer requirements

  • Integrate Windchill with third-party systems including ERP, MES, and CPQ

  • Perform Windchill Critical Patch updates and basic rehost activities

  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions and participate in customer calls

  • Create comprehensive documentation including design specifications and user guides

  • Train client super users on Windchill and ThingWorx Navigate

  • Provide technical guidance to support colleagues and junior engineers

What you'll bring

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • 2–4 years of experience in MCAD and PLM environments, including architecting, solutioning, and executing services projects.

  • Demonstrated experience with PTC Windchill administration and implementations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ThingWorx.

  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or CPQ integration.

Who thrives here

  • You're comfortable running your own projects and don't need a lot of hand-holding to deliver.

  • You build trust with customers quickly — through clear communication, follow-through, and sound technical advice.

  • You can flex between deep technical work and customer-facing conversations without missing a beat.

  • You enjoy sharing what you know and helping teammates level up.

  • You're energized by variety — no two customer environments are exactly the same.

Work setup

  • Remote-first with a dedicated, professional home workspace required.

  • Some travel required, including occasional international trips for customer visits, training, and company meetings.
