Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033

Work hours: Full Time- 36 Hours/Week; Nights 7:00 pm-7:00 am (Three-12-hour shifts per week) must be available for weekend shifts and PRN opportunities 

Labor and Delivery highlights:

·        Average 120 deliveries per month

Here’s What You Need

·          Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma

·          BSN (Preferred)

·          1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)

·          2 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)

·          RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)

·          BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And

·          NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And

·          ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And

·          IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And

·          NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And

·          CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

 

What You Will Do

·         Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

·         Assesses the patient

·         Plans the care of the patient

·         Intervenes as appropriate

·         Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

·         Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

·         Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

·         Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
