Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our production team in Fruita. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise to program and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc and/or Mazak controls. You will play a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in every part produced.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Precision Machining: Expertly set up and operate CNC lathes
  • Programming: Program using Fanuc and/or Mazak controls.
  • Quality Control: Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Setup & Optimization: Perform tool changes and machine setups to maximize production efficiency.
  • Shop Operations: Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move large steel parts.
  • Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; perform routine troubleshooting on equipment. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of CNC programming and operation (3+ years preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in machining steel and large-scale parts.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental math and computer skills.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and a strong "team-player" mentality.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years of age.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.







The Schedule

  • Shift: Day Shift, Monday – Thursday
  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
  • Work-Life Balance: 3-day weekends every week!
  • Overtime: Available on Fridays as production needs require.
