Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the production process on the shop floor/new product lines. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals and customer requirements are met.

Responsibility:

Preparation of process sheets detailing tooling and setup requirements required for processes.

Design and/or create CAD drawings for: tooling, gauges, gauge holders, and fixtures.

Prepare tooling cost estimates for processes by conducting tool usage studies.

Read and interpret part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts.

Select new and improve existing tooling for machining processes.

Provide technical support for production floor.

Research and report the requirements (cost, labor, tooling, equipment) for implementing new production processes.

Program and operate CNC machine tools.

Manage all cost savings by department/line.

Generate monthly reports.

Work with manufacturers on tooling improvements and problem resolution.

Vendor/Customer problem resolution.

Perform miscellaneous activities as requested by management.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience working in manufacturing engineering preferred.

Required Skills/Experience:

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and methodologies.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products and services.
