Golf Course and Grounds Maintenance/Equipment Operators 

The Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Crew is responsible for general upkeep and maintenance for roads, golf course, buildings and all grounds on Frye Island.  

• Seasonal position starting April through beginning of November 
• Full time hours 7 am – 3 pm 
• Opportunity to work outdoors and interact with members of the community 
• Access to Frye Island perks like free golf at the island golf course and free ferry tickets 
• Hourly rate$18-$25/hr based on experience and position 

• Ability to work full time hours for the entire season April through November 
• Ability to do heavy lifting as necessary 
• Ability to safely cut grounds using hand or riding mower and tools for trimming and edging 
• Experience operating heavy equipment (backhoe, skid steer, excavator, etc.) 
• Previous labor or grounds maintenance experience preferred 
• Good mechanical ability with general handyman skills 
• Flexibility and responsiveness with capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and demands. 
• Strong collaborative and customer service orientation. 
• Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently and independently 
• Must be at least 18 years of age 

• Routine maintenance tasks associated with the proper care and maintenance of the golf course utilizing basic landscaping skills and typical lawn care maintenance equipment 
• Inspection and maintenance of grounds vehicles, tools and equipment 
• Performs landscaping duties, planting, grading, site preparation, trimming, mowing, trash pickup 
• Road maintenance, development and operation of heavy equipment 
• General mechanical or maintenance repair of town property,buildings and grounds. 
• Maintain a positive and customer-friendly demeanor ensuring all areas are well presented
