Position Summary:
The Food Production Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment while ensuring product quality, food safety, and efficient operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Maintenance:
- Set up, load, start, and monitor production equipment such as fillers, ovens, and cookers
- Ensure machines operate efficiently and meet production targets
Quality & Safety:
- Follow food safety standards, including HACCP guidelines
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
Troubleshooting:
- Identify, adjust, and resolve minor equipment issues
- Report major malfunctions to maintenance to minimize downtime
Documentation:
- Complete operator checklists and maintain accurate production records
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods during shifts
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production or machine operation preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
