Desk Estimator 
$55,000 - 75,000 per year + commissions
Our Desk Estimator prepares scopes and estimates for reconstruction and emergency services on site, scoping losses, creating estimates using Xactimate software, and securing the project.  The Desk Estimator’s primary responsibilities are to create estimates using estimating software, for reconstruction and emergency services from 3D scans and Project Director scopes.  Collaborate with clients to gain estimate and invoice approval. This is an in-office role at our Cleveland location
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bid Accuracy:  Strong attention detail, reducing errors and omissions.
  • Higher Win Rates: Ability to create more competitive and professional bids faster.
  • Time Savings: Ability to free up project managers to focus on active jobs
RESPONSIBILITES:             
  • Meet all service standards set forth by the client or the company.
  • Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility (as required). 
  • Utilize internal review process
  • Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
  • Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment
  • Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements. 
Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer)
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, Symbility, MICA and additional systems as requested
  • Ability to create documents
  • Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
  • Ability to work independently and / or with a team
  • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
  • Ability to work within hazardous environments safely
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality
Education and Experience: 
  • Experience with Xactimate and/or Symbility required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Customer Service experience
Physical Requirement
  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
  • Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 80% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer
