This position is part of our PRIME division, operating under the S&S Activewear parent company. PRIME plays a key role in delivering specialized solutions while aligning with the broader mission and values of S&S Activewear.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Coordinates and directs the design, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Hourly - based on experience 

Monday - Friday (full-time, non-exempt)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provides for maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment in collaboration with Plant Manager who will make recommendations for replacement or adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Aids in maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
  • Aids with HVAC systems, electrical/ lighting systems, plumbing systems, computer wiring, security services, janitorial services and other factors.
  • Performs audits to support facility safety.
  • engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Safety, LOCK OUT TAG OUT, HAZMAT training

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports directly to the Director of Facilities. This relationship is critical.
  • Strong, trusting, supportive and collaborative relationships with all members of management are essential to success

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School degree and experience with facility responsibilities in a manufacturing environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as sales plans and forecasts. Ability to listen effectively. Ability to effectively convey complex ideas to others; Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations to senior management, employee groups, and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

  • Ability to court, measure and maintain purchase budget for parts.

REASONING ABILITY: 

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formula, scientific equations, graphs, etc.). Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
